Reflection on the process of blogging?

I never thought that I will one day create my own blog. It seems so difficult, but it is very easy the second you start. I learned how to follow other bloggers and how to comment on their blogs. I also learned how to post and add tools on your own blog, but most important thing I learned is to create my own blog. Other people blogs may contain information which you need or are searching for. So blogging is not a waste of time, but an investment for your life.

 

 

 

Is it necessary to integrate social media in the classroom? How can I use forums like blogs, facebook, twitter etc. to be a better teacher?

If teachers want to be better understand how social media can effect a student’s desire to learn, they must first look inside the mind of a student. Students communicate, research, collaborate, create and publish online without the help of parents or educators. These same students then hop on social media to promote, discuss and share their thoughts with the world. The digital environment is offerings us some of the greatest learning opportunities that young learners have ever had. Social media has become one of the greatest educational tools of all time, and yet, it goes untaught. Why? Fear of the unknown? Lack of value? The time is now for education to instead embrace this form of learning and begin, even in small ways, embedding social media lessons in all classrooms.

How did the teaching practise change my idea of how I see myself as a 'teacher'?

The school I went to for my first teaching practise was the school where I was last year. Everything was the same even the students, so I felt very comfortable there. The first time I stood in front of a class the reality strike me. I thought to myself this is the thing I am going to do every day of my life. When the student called me sir I was blushing just to see the respect they showed me even thou I am there friend. I also learned that teaching is not a half workday job like everybody else told me. Your job as teacher does not stop, not even on weekend or holidays. I also learned that teaching is not just standing in front of a class, but a lot of admin too. I learned a lot after my first teaching practise and it is still my dream to become a teacher one day.

How do I see myself as a teacher?

I see myself as a teacher in the making. I will enjoy dressing up professional every day. I will enjoy   being part of all the functions at the schools. I see myself as the teacher who is going to make a difference in the life of children. The teacher which will do anything in his will to protect each and every other student in his school. The teacher who will help others when they are confused. The teacher having the passion just being there even when others don’t want me there. The teacher who is going to follow his dreams no matter what and the teacher who will enjoy every moment doesn’t matter if it is good or bad.

 

Why I want to be a teacher and the characteristics of a'good' teacher. Do you think you will be a 'good' teacher?

If you have a passion for something it makes your job so much easier. Since grade 9 my teacher inspired me to become the best teacher I can. Since then I made a wise decision to become a person who can make a difference in this world of ours. Teaching is not just standing in front of a class and trying to put knowledge into them, but it is also being there model, parents and people they can trust in the darkest days. Teaching does not just focus on one subject, but on a few to create student better then yesterday. The characteristics of a teacher is to be helpful, calm, full of energy, talk a lot, love audience and there is a lot more, but the main thing is you must find it in yourself so that you can show it to the world. I think I will make a good teacher, because I do have the characteristics of a teacher. So much inspired me and so I also want to inspire others.
